Check out the Ibanez FA-100 just bought one great guitar! Im from sweden, over here they are about 1000$ dont know the price in US.

You can play jazz on your Les Paul but you wont get the Hollowbody sound you need a hollowbody for that. But try your Les Paul out and see if you like the sound, if you do i dont see any reason ...
