Hi Jake. I follow you a lot on the Jazz Guitar Forum. I love your finger style playing. Wish I could do the same but due to an accident I lost my right index finger some time ago so am restricted to a ...

I don't think so. From what I heard at the time, he became a recluse. No longer taking any lesson. Self taught. Just him and his guitar.

Dave and I grew up together on the same street in San Leandra CA. We had the same guitar teacher, Bob Richards. I remember going over to this house one day and him showing his large collection of jazz ...

I'd bet we took from Warren about the same time. He was getting a re-fret job on his L5 then too. It took forever it seemed. For me I'd guess it was around '75?

Hi Henry. This was in 1966. I rememb ...

Gene. When you have the "perfect mouse trap", why try to make it better? I make it a point to listen to every thing you post. Your phrasing, tone and technique are fantastic.

Now, I'm ol ...

One of the things that really struck me about Warren was just how he looked. He looked more like a construction worker than a guitarist. He reminded me of Victor Mature. In his younger days I figur ...

Yep. I guess a Maj13 if you play the A. Another fingering would be 8-X-9-9-10-X. Great voicing with 2/m7-5/13-1/maj13. But my favorite Maj9 is 8-7-9-7-8-7.

Very nice Gene. New axe sounds great. I've never used that Maj9. Thanks for adding it to my chord repertoire.

I'm 67 and still can remember my first guitar and learning to play from those Mel Bay books. I took the guitar up when I was 10. My father wouldn't let me take up anything that was loud. No drums. No ...

This might be common knowledge but I'm a bit lame.

Is it against Forum Policy or illegal to post copyright sheet music on a forum?

This may be in the wrong forum topic. Sorry

Hey Gene,

Other than the (d7) to (db7), I use three different ones. Try:

F#m11(b5) F13(#11) to E7alt A7alt

or

F7(#11) E7(#9) to D7alt G7(#5)

or a pretty standard one:

F#m7(b5) F9 to ...
