This is a very good clip, without guitar and I know I've posted this song before it's hard to say which one is better. later

Jake,
Yeah Pat Metheny sounds so great on that clip, did you notice the bottom of his guitar on that clip. I think it must be like a synthesizer or something? What do you think? Anyways, yeah Metheny is a killer player. later

Aw man, that's the good shit right there. In my opinion, the clip alfonso posted blows Pat Methany's version away! I don't even know who the musicians are in the first clip but the trumpet player is so good it's ridiculous. So expressive! For a while I was wondering if there could ever be a guitarist who could match that solo for sheer expressiveness and power. I kind of think Wes could, but what do you all think?

Freddie Hubbard?

looks like Ron Carter on bass and Tony Williams on drums. i can't identify the sax man.

The Herbie Hancock clip comes from a DVD entitled "One Night With Blue Note". It's a neat reunion concert, reuniting many of the classic Blue Note bands - Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, Charles Lloyd, Herbie Hancock, Jackie McLean, Woody Shaw, Jimmy Smith, Kenny Burrell and more. Highly recommended if you're a fan of old Blue Note recordings.
