Yeah I know most of you guys never heard of him but he was a real Monster of a jazz guitarist and rock, classical etc. Anyways, I put him on my tab on youtube cause I went to High School with him and I was taking guitar class with him, the cat showed me all kinds of music as he was a good friend so I put him on here as a tribute. An amazing person, sadly he died in 2003, it was really sad cause me and my wife had just run into him weeks prior. I'm hoping players from Sacramento see him as the dude was very well known and was really popular especially in Australia. RIP

 Ahh Alfonso,you've been busy today! Thanks for sharing all of these videos. Sorry to hear about your friend passing. I remember that song and it brought back nice memory's as I graduated High School in 1979.

Yeah it was a long time ago since I been in High School I graduated in 1973. I didn't think you were that old L4, I mean you're still younger than me but I really did think you were a youngster per my PM. Anyways I wish I had a recorded video of Roger playing guitar cause he was the best guitarist that I had ever personally had the opportunity to play music with, hence the tribute video. Dig the mullet of the times, I guess he was a bit of a hearthrob in Australia. Anyways when he died there was a big obituary in the local paper here, the cat had opened for Mose Allison at Freeborn Hall when he was in High School. Anyways the dude showed me alot of good music and stuff like that is always remembered. later |
