Q;
Just working trough a blues prog. with lots of subs and chromatisme
ending in bar 6 with the VII7,now maybey its a stuppid Q but
is it the7e from a major or a dominant scale i.a in G , a F or an F#.
And is ,say a blues in G harmoniszed from a G dominant scale ??
I now the harmoniszed major and minor,can you harmonise a dominant scale,is it usefull for a beginner like me.

A VII 7 chord in bar 6 would be a tritone sub for the IV7
A G dominant scale would have F, not F#
Does that answer your questions? I wasn't entirely clear what you were asking.
Diatonically, dominant is the fifth mode of the major. You would harmonize G mixolydian the same way you'd harmonize C major.
