Hello,

Just want to introduce myself so any regulars would know where I am comming from.

I got my degree in Music performance on the Sax back in 96. Played alot and did some great gigs and got marrid and had kids.

I Got a regular job, bought a house went back to school and got my masters in Business.

I have been playing guitar off and on for years after the kids went to bed but just couldn't get off the ground with it.

This year for Christmas my wife surprised my with a Gibson ES-165 Herb Ellis model to get me motivated, as she put it. Mission accoplished!

So I've been hanging around this forum to keep motivated get new Ideas.

Everyone seems realy cool here and I just wanted to make a point to let everyone know that if I have an unothodox approach in my comment that I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything it's just come from my approach from playing the sax.

Best wishes to all,
John

Welcome, JohnP. It will be interesting to hear from a sax playing guitar
player. I work with two great sax players all the time so I'll like to hear
what you have to say.

Hi John, and welcome. What part of CT are you from? I have had a similar experience as have many of us, career, house, family...It all has a tendency to get in the way of our real life goal, namely playing jazz!
