It looks like a great week for new members here.I like most have watched this site for awhile now. I have been playing for 37 yrs now and enjoy anything that is played well on guitar. I remember being 6 or 7 yrs old and watching Joe Pass on the ED Sulivan show. I was frozen to the tube , took me to another world. My parents were not musical but they had parties where a banjo, guitar, sax , accordian and just about any else that would come would play. I did n;t have to go to bed , who could sleep with all that noise. I was the heart throb of seventh grade playing and singing Hey Jude at the sock up. At 14 I quit high school to play in all night stripper clubs. Now any one remember HE Haw and goldie hawn painted with physicdellic paint. . My brother played bass and we played hard rock. We had a 80.000 Pa system so we played for alot of warm ups for groups like, BB KIng. Albert King, Freddy King, Tower of Power, Chilliwack. Triamph. I played at the Calgary stampede with BO Dilly , 9000 people. Traveled for 6 years across the country. Those were some long nights.
Now for the past 6 yrs I play Mostly cord voicing of songs to fill in. I listen to Joe Pass ,WEs, favorite cording Kenny Burrell , Jimmy Smith. Jimmy Bruno. . I like blues Robben ford, Eric Johnson. many different tonal sounds of soloing. I 'm a lazy guitarist and never have had a fat head. There are just so many greats out there . I'm content with making my own sounds. My son took a short clip at Xmas of me playing a song and put it on you tube. I'll try to give the link. I just bought a Eastman 810 ce to mark the passing of my brother. Please see my babies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QyntcnDEcA or go to You Tube and search Terry playing christmas songs 2006. Thanks
