Hi everybody I'm new here (as they say!).
Ok, I'm Andrew, I live in Exeter in south west England and I have been playing guitar for around 40 years. Musically I've been involved with Blues, rock and traditional folk and celtic on the acoustic side of things. Ultimately I felt I was getting stale and bored which resulted in less playing time...not a good thing.
So, I feel ready for a new challenge, hence my appearance here.
Technically jazz is a whole new world for me with all sorts of new disciplines to get to grips with.

I hope you'll put up with the occasional idiotic question...I'll try to keep them brief and infrequent!
I haven't owned an electric guitar for a while and just invested in a new Gibson ES175 which should be arriving any day now; seems like a good tool for the job...

Look forward to talking to you all; and I want to thank Brian for expediting my registration.

Andrew

welcome aboard.

The only idiotic question is the question not asked. I hope you find much inspiration and guidance here.
