Warning ......
These machines break TI Jazz Swings

My Theory is ..... the string lock 'Magnum' system is too viscious for TI's
soft metal , broke the core on (2) TI Jazz swing 6th strings , tuning up.

I can't get individual TI strings
or even any individual Flat wound strings .... bah humbug

New-fangled too clever by half rubbish ... mutter cough etc etc

Got some Grover STA-TITEs on order now
which is what I should have done in the first place ....

Rant over , Jem

Sometimes GOTOH is not the highest of quality in manufacturing. Was there by chance sharp edges on the string holes or maybe even burrs?

I don't know why I went with locking tuners now anyway
Cos I only change my strings once in a blue moon
those TI flat last for ever

Must be cos I used to bust em regularly when I played
rock and pop music on a strat with a floating trem
I put locking sperzals on that which sped up
sting changes considerably.....

BTW I found a supplier for individual TI strings in UK
http://www.stringbusters.com/index.htm

2.50 a string though so I don't know if I'll risk it any more
with the Gotoh's

I think when I get ready to change I'll just put on the
STA-TITEs

Sorry to blather on
but its nice when your gear is working perfectly isn't it ?
