What is the best way to offer up chord shapes via this type of format??
Tabulature???
Or is there a better way?
I though about a video but I don't know if I have the time for that. Rolling Eyes

man I'm really a fan of simply doing this:

022100

320003

the far left being the low E string. Totally seems simplest to me.

Ok...So here's the thing.

I am a terrible teacher but I am going to make an attempt at offering some of the voicings that have shown up in some of the recordings that I have submitted.

Here is a link for the recorded sounds
http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=10899154&q=hi&newref=1

I play it clean slow then throw in some el Capistan to make it spooky...oooh

I am going to use the format that Jake suggested.
Underneath the fret numbers I will put the finger used if needed

Thx again Jake

Example #1

Emi7b5 (ii) sound in d mi

xx7333
(4111) -fingering

A7 alt 'same shape up a minor 3rd' (v) sound in d mi

xx'10'666

Dmi7(9) (i) sound in d mi...again same shape and fingering

xx'14''10'10''10'

Another variation of the above is to play the octave on the 1st string w/ the 2nd finger,
So,.

xx7335 Nice eh? *****

I love that sound.....Play that with G as the root is a sexy min 9 ..over Bb a Maj 7 type sound...etc
I sneak that thing in everywhere..LOL

.....................................................................................................

Example # 2.

Think A minor-ish for this one...but the idea is to stick these shapes in wherever you can fit them

xx541x
(431)-fingering
xx653x

xx955x

xx778x
(113or2?)
xx99'10'x

xx'17''13'13'15 *** same shape as example 1

xx'16'12'12'12'

Anyway I hope this was helpful?
I have learned quite a bit here and it would be kinda cool if I could give back a bit.

Great stuff Gene! I love the sound of these. Example 2 is a bit of a challenge for me but worth it! Got any others?

They are a bit of a stretch but worth it.
After a while they fall under the hand like nothing...and my hands are quite small...and stupid.
I will put some more up if this type of a thing is helpful but it might be a few days as 'work' Gene will be in full swing over the next week....
I hate that guy Evil or Very Mad
BTW...shift work sucks
