Little known standard. This is the faculty band at UOP. The bassist and drummer are Brubeck Institute students, on campus. I'm a professor here, so me on guitar, the alto player (the director), the trumpeter player and pianist are the instructors. _________________ All the best,

Thanks for posting that. It's been a while since I've heard that one, and I think I'll photocopy (yes I know that's copyright infringement, but sue me ) a couple of lead sheets to take with me Wednesday night...It's an open mic night, but if there's time, we also work on new stuff.
You got a nice sound going on there, but I sort of expect good sounds from a faculty band, so perhaps "nice sound" goes without saying. |

Thank you cjm. Freddie Hubbard has a good version of this song. I don't think I had a chart for this -- or maybe I did and altered it unapologetically. The problem with this arrangement is you need at LEAST a quartet to play it and it has to be rehearsed, so pulling it out on the gig sight unseen before hand is a dangerous affair. _________________ All the best,
