I have an older Epiphone electric archtop (1964 Epiphone Broadway) and have been thinking about modding the controls to wire in a master tone and master volume (instead of separate tone and vol for both pickups) and a blend knob.

Anyone have experience with this, or similar mods?

I do love to tinker, but I want to be really conservative making any changes to this beautiful guitar. If I do anything, I'll preserve the original parts and wires.

Thanks!

My first thought is I wouldn't, not on a '64 Broadway.

Doing this won't be very easy as working on a hollow body wiring rarely is very accessible. But, here is some diagrams to work with and a source to get the pots.
