Hello! I'm just starting to play jazz. and I started my lessons with PWYH software, right now I'm using the Yamaha F310 Acoustic Guitar and the LaneyAC30 Acoustic Amp with a Zoom 504II Acoustic effect... uMy question.. I know there's a lot of you here who play at the highest level, do you my instrument specially my guitar is enough for my jazz journey? Or do I need to buy a new guitar. Please advice me on what guitar to buy with a price enough for my yight budget.. ... thanks

You certainly don't *need* another guitar. Keep in mind, jazz itself pre-dates electric guitar. Most really old jazz was entirely acoustic.
You may in time simply want to go with an Archtop out of desire and there are lots of choices...
Best of progress (luck) on the studies! |

Good advice for then and now. _________________ Beware of alliances that are formed by dividing relationships of others.

Trust your own opinion of a guitar or amp. Form your opinion from what you value. Your need, preference, circumstance, experience, and opportunity are the most important factors. |
