I rolled off the tone knob of the 335 for that muddy and extra dark sound.

There is a new blues and country track too but those ain't jazz in the least.

Thanks Paul. But I don't think I'll continue posting vids here. I rarely contribute to the discussions so it starts feeling a bit awkward. _________________ Visit my Blog for all things Bebop guitar:

Oh goodness no! Dick, you do contribute here! Your video's offer more than a lot of words can to many users, I'm certain of it.
The only time *I* will have an issue with user contribution level is when someone blindly is trying to sell a product without even saying hello, let alone contribute *useful* content without asking for money in the process.
Please continue posting! |

| If you stop your posting, you should at least record some CDs or something. Don't just leave us in the dark. |

Dick,
I learn alot from watching your videos, I've even learned a couple all the way through and I came across one that looked easy but it wasn't and I couldn't even come close to playing it. My point is some of us learn from your videos, not all of them but damn, if that's not a contribution I don't know what is and as far as the discussions go there's other players that can respond to the questions etc. later |

I rarely post, but that's because I wouldn't want to spam up the forum with really simple questions or lack of information to share that would be news to anyone; you on the other hand, jazzerman, do contribute a great deal with these videos. I'm sure I've watched every single one (even the blues ) at least twice on your youtube site. It certainly helps to see a guy like yourself play over standard (and sometimes not so standard) songs, so please stay. |

| could jazzerman or anyone tell me what scales he is using on "back to beck". Great solo. I'm interested in what scale you derived some of the hip intersting solo work in the middle of the solo. thanks |

You guys are amazing. I kind of thought I'd be posting vids here in a vacuum by this time. I would not want it to be an ego thing (you know ... posting just to receive positive feedback and then contribute nothing further). The only reason I could think of continuing posting them is when guys find the vids useful for their own development or inspiration or whatever.
But still, I do have a website on Youtube that I maintain ... so do you really need me posting the latest upload? You can even subscribe to it so that you are automatically notified when a new one is uploaded.
But many thanks for the kind replies.
Regards,

I would have to say two things.
1. Out of sight, out of mind. I'd prefer your posting here, I do see you post elsewhere but that group 'whines' too much for my taste.
2. I find I hardly ever 'sign up' for anything anymore. I've grown so tired of residual email spam (the main email I use for 'sign up' lists get's ~100 spam emails an hour now!..get's old).
I've been considering creating a 'member feature' area here so 'we' can collect our wares without the additional popups, spam and other unfortunate residuals for free services. I simply haven't had the time lately and it will for certain cost me money where in I'm also hesitant. |

| Jazzerman-I think you were playing some argeggiated stuff. The spots are at 1:03-1:08 and then from 1:20-1:26. again, great stuff. thanks |
