| Think it's more than obvious there have been some noticeable changes. New catagories, new topics, what do you think? |

Good job and congrats on the upgrade. I hadn't noticed all the new categories until Igiro mentioned them. I too am more of a fan of letting a small set of categories organically (based on demand) grow to a larger set of categories. But this site has a pretty solid base of visitors, I'm sure people will catch on. Best of luck!

Good. It could get complicated. what are you going to do about posts in the wrong place like clips in the discussion. |

Thanks for being nice at me fellas! I want to see this place be the best for us it can be...what ever exactly that is?
We'll correct wrong post locations as we go, no need for me to be ridged about it when people are far from being use to this new layout. Hopefully people will find an appropriate posting area on their own, in time.
As time progresses and the obvious begins to show itself, we'll nudge here and there in the forums to get exactly what is needed. The changes I made were an attempt to cover an entire scope of possiblity, so we'll see how things fill out as time goes on. |

I like it, but I also feel there are too many categories. I like to browse the subjects quickly for things that might interest me, but it takes a bit more time to do it now and I'm afraid I might miss some stuff. _________________ Information is not knowledge,

I don't see that being as big of a problem though... at least, if you're a fairly regular visitor, you'll be able to see which sections have new posts since your last visit, and in my experience, it's usually only 2 or 3 categories. |

Hmmm, I thought I had a problem - I'm not seeing any of the new post indicators flashing. I logged out, deleted cookies, logged back in, but I still see the same icons regardless. _________________ Information is not knowledge,

| Gotta say, really don't like the new layout. There aren't enough posts here for there to be so many categories, and there's always tons of overlap. It's easier to just have two basic places to look - general jazz guitar forum and an equipment forum. It's a hassle to check each one. |

| I can see how checking each forum could be a drag. You don't use the "view posts since last visit" option? I've always done that so the change was seamless for me. |
