Hey, I've just been starting to get into altered scales (mixob9b13, half whole diminished and a few others.
I was wondering if anyone knew some other good altered scales to learn. I'm really looking for a few good scales to use over dominant chords to create alot of tension.
Thanks alot,

The chromatic scale. Good start.
Take what ever you are playing and transpose by a number of frets. One fret up works great guns. Also minor thirds (stpes of three frets) sound well good. |

Here you have a brief discussion of the diminished, augmented and altered dominant scales.
Good thing to use over altered 5th dominant chords. |
