Oh fantastic Jokron, thanks. Have you had much training in classical music? I studied a bit as a secondary school student, and though I didnt study hard, what I retained has been a great benefit to me.

Well, I learned to play a little piano and churchorgan in a couple of years but quit due to family reasons. That is about 25+ years ago. I still play a little piano now and then, but as I work fulltime I have chosen to focus on guitar. What I did then, and that I have a lot of benefit from when learning jazz guitar now was learning musical theory. Unfortunately I have a mind that learns much faster than my hands and fingers, so I fullfilled a course in classical music theory so I have no problem with identifying chords and scales, and I know what tones the b5, #5, b9, #9, 11, 13 and so on are. But my ability to play what I know could be a lot better...but I'm working on it. Wink

@jokron i learned much from other church musicans, some of them are organ players and high calibres of musicans, you can have good conservations about music theory with them, i donīt want to miss it Wink
