Although inititially I found the videos interesting I am now just wanting to practice with the songs and exercises. Is there any way of obtaining the mp3 of the songs and exercises in the course so I can burn them on a cd and practice with them without using a computer?

Not that I'm aware of. I think you would have to find a shockwave to WAV or MP3 converter to get what you're looking for.

Is it a DVD? You can get software that will rip audio from DVDs. The sound quality isn't perfect, but it really doesn't have to be, does it? Google is your friend. Smile

Found a shockwave to mp3 converter by hootech. It is 30 dollars. Beyond that it is likely to be time consuming to organize since there may be several examples per shockwave file. Is there some reason why Chris wouldn't provide these files in mp3 for his paying customers? I met Chris at a concert he gave in Denver Colorado. He seemed like a reasonable person who was intent on helping emerging guitarists. He must realize that many players are like me - its ok to watch the video once or twice by the computer but after that would prefer to practice with the mp3 away from the computer.

Well by all means you can ask him. Can't say I can contribute more than that.

Here's a link to a bunch of converters for what it's worth.

I did talk to Chris and he said he would make the mp3s available. He also said he is busy and is not sure when he will do this. I think this will be an invaluable aid. Even though I have been playing for several years it takes some practice to be able to do these exercises fluently. I would rather practice with an mp3 play than with a computer.
