Hi folks:
using Line 6 Topeport (USB sound card) and Guitarport (modelling software), I record using Audacity. That is fine. Problems come when I try to record a second track in Audacity over the first one; anyone know what the latency is by default with this setup? Do I need to change any settings in Guitarport to reduce the latency? I tried some settings but do not know what I am doing.
This may sound silly, but I am such a bad player that I cannot tell if it is my fault or bad latency. When I play back both tracks, the timing sounds terrible. Either I need to spend a year with a metronome or I need advice with latency.
Thanks in Advance

You might want to checkout the latency test section of the audacity manual. It will show you how to use a loop-back to correct it. With using a loop-back then you can adjust the latency and it will never be perfect, but it can make a huge difference. _________________ A set of noise cancelling headphones have the effect of reducing consistent back ground noises. |
