Anyone interested in comming to a high quality school jazzband concert. Its Thursday December 13 2007 6:30p.m. Post if your interested. I'll try to get someone to tape it so I can post it.

It would be pritty cool and funny if someone came to it.

We are playing for your enjoyment.
-Minnie the Moocher
-Georgia on My Mind
-Peridito
-Take the A train.

As you might know, I get a full solo over Take the A train. Its over the

1 bar everyones quiet
1 bar of Cmi7
1 bar of F7
1 bar of Bb6
1/2 of Cmi7
1/2 of F7

And it repeats like 4 times. Its awsome. So come to see the Jazz band.

If anyone cares I'll post more!

Morgan

Morgan, I'd like to hear your A-Train if someone records it.
Good luck on the concert.
Is the other guitarist in your band improving any?

Yeah I'll post some clips. Hopefully I can get all 4 songs. The little cd's only hold about 20 min. I will defenatly get a train, because thats the most important.

It was ok. The guy who sucks that I told you about "couldn't hear himself" so he kept turning up. So he was playing the wrong notes but very loud. I do have some clips I'll post later.

Man I know what that feels. For years I played with a church group where one guitarist keeps playing a lot of wrong notes, a keyboardist that improvises all the time, a violinist that plays melody all the time, a drummer that is out of time, and a group of singers that are out of tune from time to time.

I finally left that group this year. My rhythm was affected and my playing became stagnant while I was played with that group. Since leaving, my timing is much better and I've learned so much more in the past 3 months than in the past 3 years. Oh well, such is life sometimes. Rolling Eyes

I just look forward towards the future. No point dwelling in the past.
