Yeah, I`ve tried the H4 a couple of times. A lot of the live-recordings I`ve posted on this forum was recorded by the H4.
Really simple to use also.
I`m considering buying one myself. Since you can both use it as a soundcard, and a live/rehearsel recording device. And you can change between different mp3 qualities and wav.

And another positive thing is that it`s basically a portable hard-disc, you don`t need a program installed to transfer the music over to your computer.
Just an usb-cable.

H4 is great!
I recorded several concerts with it! The quality is amazingly good.
Just bought it to record my lessons.
It's also a 4-track recorder...never used it that way.

Anyway I recommend the H4!

I think I'll get one...

But I have one doubt... I've been reading about the H4 and many people talks about its weak look. I would like to pourchase something durable, for using it during the years... What do you think about the plastic chasis?

I think that kind of recorders should be made of metal (aluminium) if you are going to take it everywhere...

The H2 does have this plastic chassis, however, I keep it in this bag that come with it and it gets tucked safely into my gig bag. I use it for a gigs and rehearsals with a big band. Then I can easily download the recordings on to my Mac. Great practice tool

Hi, I finally purchased the H4 and I'm very impressed because of its quality of sound in many situations.

I use it to record my guitar lessons, my studio sessions or gigs and in all that situations the H4 does it perfectly. I haven't any problem yet but the plastic chassis but It's not really important cause I put it on a tripod for the recordings and then I have a little bag that I found at home very good to protect the H4 from possible shocks.

Pepe.

Another H4 user here, I've recorded many a gig with it, and if placed well, the sound can be very impressive indeed. I was initially concerned about the plastic body being weak, but it's stood up well so far.

Yes, in the beginning I didn't like very much that plastic chasis but I haven't had any problem yet.

It's great for recording gigs, lessons, etc.

Pepe.
