Hi there:
Long-time player, recently rekindled my interest in practicing, playing and getting to a place where I could actually play in front of people.
May even start lessons again (haven't done that in eons...).
As far as equipment, I have many guitars and basses, but most pertinent to this group would be my old '78 Ibanez 2630 Artist (335-like); my Lowden nylon acoust/elec (forget the model) and a Taylor 514C.
Oh, live in NYC.
Regards. |

Welcome aboard.
It's never too late to start again - I think a few people, myself included, took a break from playing for various reasons so you're certainly not alone. _________________ Paul |

Thanks, all.
Sunflower - I'm about to sell a PRS solidbody that I never play (posted f.s. on another forum right now...) for an Eastman Pisano model, so I'll reserve the flats for the Eastman and keep the half-rounds on the IB.
Cheers! |

You won't regret getting the Pisano - Eastman's are great guitars. _________________ Paul |

Cadence:
Thanks. Where in NJ are you? Are there ever get-togethers in the NY area?
On the Eastman - do you own one? I'm dealing with Guitars n Jazz in Summit. Know Lou?
Cheers |

I'm in central Jersey, outside Trenton. I think there are a couple people on the forum in north Jersey, and one in Philly so there might be enough people for a get-together which would be fun.
I actually bought my Eastman from Lou. Walking into his place is GREAT - I've never seen so many archtops in one place. I traded a guitar and paid the difference for an 805CE. _________________ Paul |

So how do you like the Pisano?
How's the acoustic properties?
I have one ordered from Lou (hopefully will arrive this week) that looks identical to yours.
Did you install the strap buttons yourself? It was my understanding that they're not included and can be a bit of a challenge to install near the tailpiece.
Congrats!
