Yeah, I know. I`ve been practicing this things a lot these days, so this video was just perfect inspiration Especially the open triads section.
Another thing, notice how musically he plays everything, even if it`s just a warm-up. An important thing to remember. |

Yeah, I was also very impressed (and maybe a little bit scared )by that!

i dont think so the ibanez pat metheney has the double cutaway this one is a regular single cut away
but i think your right about it been an ibanez just not shure wicth one |

metheny is using an ibanez prototype to a korean-made, discontinued model called pm-20.
pats guitar is more like a single-pickup version of an fg-100 except that his has got an ebony tailpiece and a solid top.
i have one of the earlier pm-20īs and itīs a great guitar with lots of acoustic tone, especially mid-freq. itīs almost twice as loud acoustically as any of the other archtops i own.
the double-cutaway guitar you refer to is the pm-100 which is built in japan. there is also the thinline pm-120 and a brand new budget model called pm-35. |
