I appreciate Brian getting my account squared away, and look forward to getting to know the fine folks on the forum. L4sleeko is a name I recognize from the Epiphone forum.

I've been playing guitar for years but am fairly new to jazz. My primary style is acoustic fingerstyle. I've messed with learning some jazz songs before, but never studied the theory involved until recently. I love guitar and really want to get a command of my instrument. I'm a gear junkie, and have gone through several acoustic and electric guitars, filtering out those that don't speak to me on some level, and retaining those that do. My current guitars for jazz are a Hofner Jazzica Custom and a heavily modified Epi Dot, both played through a Henriksen Jazzamp 10-R. I'm using lessons from Workshop Live and a book by Jody Fisher.

I'll be 40 in August, I'm married with one child, and I work as a Radiographer. That's it for now...see you folks around. Smile

I take X-rays, and have done rotations through CT and MRI as well. I'm currently working on getting PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) certified in hopes of moving into PACS administration. PACS is the central repository of all your medical records and images...they can be accessed by your doctor from anywhere in the world. Say you were visiting NH on vacation and broke your leg...they take the X-ray, run it into PACS, and your doctor can pull it up in another state. It also makes things run much more efficiently within the hospital. Once a hospital or clinic's imaging department moves to digital, PACS is the way to go. I'm already Network+ certified, and have experience as a database administrator, so I should move over to the PACS administrator side fairly easily. PACS administration requires both IT and clinical competency.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome...I appreciate it. Cool

Wow, that's important work! Good luck on your PACS certification and
on jazz guitar.
