I just bought an archtop with a rosewood bridge. The thing is that the strings don't come in contact with any (grounded)metal parts. Normally when there's a hum and I touch the strings, the hum is gone. So if I play I don't have any hum. I know the real problem is the grounding of the amp.
When I touch the pickup or the cable the hum is gone. Is there any other solution besides just grounding the amp properly. The only place where there are gounded outlets in my home is the kitchen.
