Hey, nezumi! Yeah, What happened? Good to hear from you, tho.

Lots of the guys went silent. hani's still here, but not as much as she used to be.

You still playing? Don't stay away so long. We need you to rile things up!

Hello jc,
thanks for the reply. hope you are well and busy!

you know how life gets in the way of fun.
i am still checking in on this forum and still playing------- everyday.

The cool weather has driven me inside and the boredom has driven me to delve into my books and sheets find something new to play.
I have a file folder full of oldies sheet music like 'i never promised you a rose garden' and 'silver threads'. It was given to me on a whim. I pulled the folder out yesterday and started playing familiar titles. My mom and grandma (96!)will love to hear them.(and the others at the old folks home)

hope all of you Jazz misfits are still at it.

Jazz that is
or misfiting if you prefer

but both would be best Razz

Yeah, things have been a bit lower tempo. Lost some, gained some. I spend far more time managing this place then using it unfortunately. But all is well in general...hope you are too. Wink

hello PJG faithfuls, it's good to run into you all again.
L4, we should run into each other MUCH more often.

life has it's ups and downs and mine has been rather far down for a while now
but if i feel like a little banter, things must be looking up a little.

I've kept playing through it all so my skills and knowledge have improved.

I'm still looking for someone to jam with, with no luck.

My 9 year old son is learning to play the piano. He played 'This old man' in C the other day. My old upright is quite out of tune. I accompanied him in B.

Winter is setting in, time to think about humidifiers

It's election day for the Americans! here in Canada we have been following the run up for 18 months, so I'm keen to see what the results will be! The run up has been very entertaining in coutless ways. I am looking forward to the % of voter turnout.
The voter turnout in Canada's last Federal election ( Oct 14, 2008) was 59.5%. how incredibly embarrasing.

gotogo
kids getting off bus!

Nezumi, Glad things are going better for you now. Nothing like some good old medicinal music.
I'm sure glad the pres. race is decided. Seems like it would never end!

Hanni, sure would like to hear your gospel group. Do you have plans for a cd? Do you live anywhere close to the Danube? My sis and hubby are
going on a Christmas cruise on the Danube. Bet it'll be beautiful. Wish I
could go!

Gorecki, Always enjoy hearing from you and thanks for keeping this rolling!

Hi folks. I've been away for a while trying to learn how to play guitar a little better in preparation for my "musical career" after I retire from my day job (we're talking in about 8-10 years, so lot of time for woodshedding left). So I've been taking private lessons again and have also enrolled in a jazz ensemble class, and while my playing hasn't improved all that much, my understanding and ability to apply certain things has, and I'm happy with the progress so far. I did miss all my friends here at the forum, but I really needed a break. Hope to be around a little more.

Paul
