Hi, everyone.

My name is Michael, and I am in the early stages in the process of developing my skills as a better guitarist, primarily in the 'jazz' vein, though I am not a fan of genres and nomenclature when it comes to music.

I am 20 and have been playing for several years but only very recently started to apply my interest in jazz to my playing. Currently, I am studying in Southern Vermont (based outside of Boston when I'm not up here), though further details on such matters are provided on my myspace page.

While I consider myself a good sounding guitarist, my knowledge and understanding of theory is limited.

I am just starting to focus on the technical side of my musical skills (sight reading, voicing chords 'better,' learning scales and arpeggios, applying them to my playing, ear-training, etc), so I'm sure I will be asking a great deal of questions!

I am a firm believer that all one needs to become great is work hard, and I plan to do just that.
