I am a bit confused, as I have reached fig 18 (page 21) and all of a sudden
it is showing three half step between notes. It doesn't seem to make sense to me. For example the forth note on the A major scale should be "D" yet on the figure it shows the 4th note on the 12 fret which would make it an "E" .
Am I misunderstanding what is being communicated there? Any comments? |

I see now, go back and review the previous few pages. These are 'positions' not 'scale degrees' so the #5 isn't the fifth of the scale, it's the fifth position scale or in these examples the fifth starting point of this scale, Make sense? _________________
