Maybe this should be posted at the arpeggio sticky post? Dont know...Just thougt of this, probably someone here already posted this alternative to play major/minor arpeggios:
Fmajor7
-----------------------------------8--12----
---------------------------6--10------------
--------------------5--9--------------------
--------------3--7--------------------------
-------3--7---------------------------------
-1--5---------------------------------------
Only major 3rd shapes, the same fingering all way through. I cant find a better way to get this distance under your hands. I think really high speeds can be reached as well (perhaps a bit Holdsworth/Lane-ish).
Fminor 7
-------------------------------8--11----------
-------------------------6--9------------------
-------------------5--8------------------------
-------------3--6------------------------------
-------3--6------------------------------------
-1--4------------------------------------------
Only minor 3rds, same fingering all the way through.
Its fairly simple to construct dominant7, minor major7 arpeggios etc, harder to exectute. Is all this wellknown basicarpeggio stuff? Works great as a warmup exercise as well
