We now have 50 days over 100 degrees here! Humidity and no rain.

And outdoor patio gigs.

Paying dues for our mild winters.

Your daily forcast for highs/lows
Mon
99°F | 76°F

Tue
97°F | 76°F

Wed
97°F | 77°F

Thu
99°F | 77°F

I can see where that could get very draining day after day. It's been a strange spring/summer in general. Thank gawd I write software for a living. Embarassed

Man, we've barely even had a summer until recently. We went all of July without once hitting 90° for the first time ever. I like it hot, hate the cold (I'm chilly below 75°), and spend the entire winter just holding out for the summer to come. This year I've been robbed, so I'm trying to take in as much of the heat as I can. I gotta move south or something—Hotlanta in mind.

We also had this major flood a couple weeks ago. All this rain just stalled out right overtop the metro area and we got like 6" an hour in some spots. By comparison, the last major flood in '97 was something like 12" over three days. Obama just recently declared the city a federal disaster area. First the wind storm with hurricane-force winds in September wrecked the city, then the ice storm wrecked it further, now this. We've had it. Climate change, man. More extreme weather events in greater frequency.

I personally had a little creek flowing through the middle of my basement. Fortunately this place is slanted and it all ran into a cleanout drain, no standing water (except what soaked into a carpet). So while it wasn't major—a lot of people suffered a lot worse—it was enough to mess up this one finished room and some other stuff. So I've had to tear out all that crap, and have taken the "opportunity," such that it is, to clean out the basement overall. So much junk down there. Killed my back, like a disc or something. Continue to work on that. Argh.

Seems like wacky weather everywhere this year. Wonder what the winter
will bring? Now storms in the Atlantic. I feel like when it starts raining
here, it will bring some flooding. Some areas of town always flood even in the littlest rain. Of course people still try to go through low water crossings.

GS, take care of that back. Ice storm, wind, then flooding- yikes!
Just more heat again today here. People are driving like a bunch of maniacs.

Well, if it makes any difference, Friday evening we had storms come through here.

Lightning took out my cable modem, router, 2 wireless access points, a 24 port switch and the network cards on two of my servers! About $600.00 later I'm *mostly* back in operation, but frankly I would have rather had the heat. Confused

Yeah, think it was the sqall line thunder storms from it. The sad part is I have surge suppressors and UPS units (battery backups) throughout the network, but the 'surge' came from the cable line itself and spread like a virus. Crying or Very sad

I do use the Benny most of the time. It's a work horse, believe it or not.
But I'm usually playing on a covered patio and either late afternoon or night. I do have another guitar to use if I have to do sunshine or other
really bad situations. I have a little Carl Barney 7 and a Schecter 7.
