Hi,
I have just recently bought the PWYH program and begun working on the first scale singing exercise; however Iím finding i can not sing in the range as instructed. For example singing from open E string, the lowest i can sing is an A (1st string 5th fret) same goes for some of the higher notes on the other strings. Is there any way around this? Also is it recommended i continue with other ear training such as singing/identifying intervals/chords on top of PWYH?
Any help would be much appreciated
Cheers.

Most logical approach is to sing an octave above/below the note. The objective is to sing the note and its not absolutely required to sing 'that note' within the same octave.

The range a guitar can reproduce exceeds that of a typical human voice by far, so simply adjust accordingly when needed.
