plastic envelopes? no, they don't include them but i don't need/want those....or even the individual paper envelopes most strings are found in....(D'Addario packs all theirs in an airtight sealed baggy of course).
and right you are about the rewards program they have...i have a few cool tee shirts i got a while back from them.
thanks for the response |
Oh, I get you- you DO want the outer lables. I don't know, I've been hanging onto them for those UPCs. But I might have some other brands thrown in, I'll take a look. |

dd....by all means keep those D'Ad inserts and get you a nice shirt or hat...or mug!
i understand how it might be confusing but here's what i'm referring to as the "string label"

That's the thing, I don't really need a mug or a shirt. I was hoping you could get a discount on more strings with them. But hopefully I'll be getting some kind of endorsement soon, so we'll see. Then again, I might just steal your idea and put them on my own wall... |

i must say...so far the response has been most underwhelming. _________________ just groove baby! |

Hi planetguy,
Just found this thread. I don't have any on hand at the moment but, I teach at a guitar shop that does a lot of set-ups, re-strings, etc...
I'll see if I can get the guys to start saving them for you.
Cheers, Ron |

thanks for those tips randalljazz.
i have a similar request up on thegearpage.com , mandolincafe.com, the tele guitar forum, and flatpickers hangout....all garneing the same underwheming response.
but let me say thanks to the folks that have replied here in this thread and again a big thanks to nicole... the one person from playjazzgtr that actually sent me some labels!
at this rate i should have this project done in another 20 yrs...hopefully i can still climb a stepstool by then! _________________ just groove baby! |

so i contacted a few of the big string mfrs and actually heard back from a few. three offered their help.
well, the good news is i rcvd a pkg from the good folks at FENDER
bad news is there was only one string pkt/label in the envelope
good news is it contained a set of gtr strings
bad news is it's not a gauge i use
more bad news.....now you have to deal w continued pleas for help. _________________ just groove baby! |

Have you considered digitally reproducing the labels? You could take or download digital images of as many different string labels as you want and have them printed actual size. There are places that will even make customized wallpaper using your images, although I don't know what that costs.
Good luck,
Paul |
