Just checked out your videos and really enjoyed them. You really have a modern sound, which is something I'm trying to cultivate more of in my playing.
The group sounded good together and had kind of a Brian Blade Fellowship feel. The tunes and the arrangements were well done also. There was a lot of interaction and dynamic changes. This was far from a 'real book' gig where you play the head and everyone blows. I can tell you've been doing this for a long time and put a lot of work into this group. You seem to have a sound and feel that you strive for in your writing and playing.
Very well done.

Hey Jazzy,
Sounds really good as always. I have also pointed out the Fellowship vibe as well, and I love it. Sounds very ECM:ish. How is the tour going? Good luck with record, touring and everything else
Best,

Hey, thanks a lot for your kind words I really appreciate it.
Tim, thanks a lot for the detailed feedback
Sandemose, I haven`t listened that much to ecm records actually. I like lots of them a lot of course, but I guess I`ve always been more into american jazz. The tour went very well, and we`re receiving great reviews of the album Working with booking more gigs nowadays! Btw, do you have some tips on some cool jazz clubs in Sweden? That could maybe interested in this kinda music. |

Stockholm: Fasching, Glen Miller Café is what I can think of. Glen Miller café is smaller than my kitchen (haha) and Fasching I guess is hard to play in. If I think of anything IŽll let you know. IŽll have to talk to some cats I know living in Gothenburg and Malmo to see what they think. Best regards, see you around!

You've got a really good group there . I'm gonna give some constructive criticism though. I think your guitar solo sounded a tad "too inside". They would be more interesting IMO if you added some more tension in the right places. I'm just saying this because I feel that constructive criticism is sometimes better than just saying "yeah that's great" all the time. So I hope you take my comments in the right light. you definitely have something cool going on with that group though. |

Hey Jazz Playa. Thanks for listening and commenting
I understand what you mean, but it was kinda my intention to play very "inside." I think it fits the tune to play melodically, and work with motives and so, but I try to vary my solos as much as I can from each performance. So next time I`ll take your advice Thanks a lot man.
Btw, on my myspace page there`s some more solos with this group, I think some of them are a bit more harmonic adventourus
later,
