i play in trio , i would like to play standards like Hackensack... and other monk's tunes in general... i won't play the root cause i've a bass and i'm trying to play the melody with 2 or 3 notes voicings...to obtain a rich sound of the group, how can i obtain the little "acid" sound of monk? What kind of intervals i should include in my voicings? 2th? or what else?
P.s. sorry for my english!
Thaks! |
