Gene, You'll sound just great, I predict. Especially after those Ed B pills!

I'd sure like some of those.

We'll expect a full report. Have a great gig!

Well my weekend gig is over Confused
It was kind of a marathon for us.
Two guitars only and eight sets of music. 3 sets the first day and 5 the next! Shocked
I was pretty pleased with the way things went.
I tried to play my archtop but I couldn't get it to turn up loud enough without the howl Crying or Very sad
I guess that guitar will have to be saved for other venues.
Torries arch top was made by the same builder but for whatever reason his doesn't ring as hot Rolling Eyes
...Could be the amp as well.
The two guitars made for a nice contrast in tone really so it was no harm no foul.
The music was well received if not well understood Wink and the event was a great success raising a good chunk of dough for kids with disabilities in the area while also providing a venue for local wine/beer/restaurants and chefs to display what they had to offer.
Very cool! Cool
Here I am playing Pent up House with my friend Torrie Seager...he is half my age and twice as good....how does that work??????

Be kind...this was the last of five sets and we were tired...and drunk Wink

Thanks guys. That really means a lot to me.
The sound quality is a little rough as it was just recorded on a cheap camera but you get the idea.
I had a great time playing with Torrie. I don't get very many opportunities to play any more so any excuse to bring him back home for a get together and blow over some chestnuts is really cool.
It sounds like this show has generated some interest and we may get a chance to do something similar in the future.
I am trying to upload some other things but it seems to be taking forever.
Later
Gene

Hey Gene,

You guys sound great. Sounds like you had a grueling but satisfying gig. Congratulations. I was expecting to hear/see someone struggling (like me) but instead I hear what I wish I sounded like.

Keep the You Tubes coming. I enjoyed your version of Pent Up House...I'll bet Sonny Rollins would have dug it too.

Nothing special going on here other than two guys having fun with a great tune after most people have left! Laughing

Now back to the real world. Rolling Eyes

Gene, sounds fantastic, you guys play really well together. The tone is beautiful, even with the camera. The time is really locked in, and all the articulation is really clear, those two things are really the most important for me personally for listen-ability...

Thx a lot Jake.
We had a ton fun playing this gig.
I kind of wish that I had recorded the entire performance just for a keepsake.
We never know when we'll get a chance to play again and it is nice to have things like that to look back on.

I agree with Jazzer Chick...more nice playing. The most refreshing, encouraging, uplifting thread I have read (and certainly heard and seen) in a long, long time.

Let me know when you and Torrie put out your next album or DVD. I'll order one!

By the way, I detect ZERO jitters in anyone's playing, so if they were there you contained them like an old pro.
