Yours truly on guitar. Richie Cole with a broken ankle.
I made it to the gig with 10 minutes to spare. My car broke down coming
home from Houston.

Thanks for sharing this Polly! I may have mentioned to you before that I'm a Richie Cole fan. I liked the way he featured you during his solo

That sounds great! Nice to hear you play again!
There is nothing like barely making it to the gig
I hope you got your car fixed and that it was not too expensive.

Sounds wonderful. This video is like a tutorial on how to play in this setting. _________________ "Inspiration may be a form of superconsciousness, or perhaps of subconciousness - I wouldn't know. But I am sure that it is the antithesis of self-consciousness." - Aaron Copland |

Thanks guys!
lgiro ,Yes, I take good care of "Benny"
My van, on the other hand seems to be beyond hope. Must search for a
replacement for my money pit.
Richie Cole's charts are great although the road maps are difficult for the most part. That blues isn't bad, but some of the others are tricky. Also hand written with the chord symbols scrunched up, sometimes a chord on every beat with lots of hits to make with the horns. |

"Charts!"
That reminds me of a joke I heard at music school that went something like.
"How do you get a guitar player to turn down his guitar?"
"Put some sheet music in front of him!"
I think they were talking about me |

| Your rhythm and comping is superb. Great solo too, but a lot of good soloists fall short when backing other players and you have that nailed to the wall...probably the most important, yet under-rated, part of a guitarist's job is to make the other players sound their best. |
