well, i've finally gotten around to a long planned and long overdue project.
i've been wallpapering my music room with string labels...the colorful "cover letter" that you find within the clear plastic pouch that is wrapped around the individual string envelopes.
whew, i hope that makes some sense!
anyway...though i've been saving these labels for a very long time, i'm gonna come up way short.....so i'm making a desperate plea for assistance!
if you'd be so kind as to save and send me your un-needed labels i'd be greatly, greatly appreciative.
i have no need for the plastic envelope, or the individual paper envelopes...just the actual string label.
and it doesn't necessarily have to be GUITAR string labels...bass, mandolin, banjo, uke, etc....ALL GOOD!
i'm reluctant to put up my address here so if you're actually able and willing to help me out....perhaps you can PM me
thanks so much in advance.....btw, i'd be happy to reimburse shipping costs.

or... perhaps you're suggesting padding would be a better choice for wall covering.

Just a little advice, posting an email address like you have done is a wide open invite to spam. This forum is being crawled with spam bots constantly and that's EXACTLY how they get your email address.
Just telling people to PM you works pretty well.

I gotta level with you was what I had in mind. still each to his own.  I only change strings about once a year. Though I did put on a set for a music summer school. I've got Daddario 1/2 rounds so called jazz medium gauge. 13-56 but they come in a paper envelope not suitable for home decoration |

| I do a lot of wallpaper work, so had to tell how your idea made me smile, cool idea. May I suggest you use a clear strip-able paste , because otherwise you may have a hard time getting it off when you get married and your wife absolutely refuses to have a room decorated in string labels. |

I have around 50 or so D'Addario empty packages, but I don't know about envelopes (Those DAs don't come with envelopes). If I have any it's only a couple.
I've been saving the DA packages as I think there's some kinda rewards program where you can get stuff for the UPCs. As for your idea I think it's cool. But I do think you'll want to figure a way to have them behind film or afix them to a plastic sheet before you put them up. |

plastic envelopes? no, they don't include them but i don't need/want those....or even the individual paper envelopes most strings are found in....(D'Addario packs all theirs in an airtight sealed baggy of course).
and right you are about the rewards program they have...i have a few cool tee shirts i got a while back from them.
