I had actually forgotten about Gene's great take of this until after I made the video, no competition intended!
I have been messing around with this arrangement since I started trying to get some more comfort with 7/4 earlier this year. Playing in odd meters is still really new to me, I liked the challenge of trying to do it slow. it's hard to 'land' phrases...
This is done with a looper and recorded on my iPhone.

Sounds great Jake.
I don't take it as competitive at all.
as a matter of fact one of the things I love so much about this music is the variety of approaches to a single subject.
As for odd metres....sometimes 4/4 has me stumped  |
