Hello all,

I've a problem with the JGVM and the screen

As you can see on the picture, the text is at the bottom of the main screen and a tiny window. The rest is blank. And this for all the lessons.

Thank you for your help,

Laurent

Unfortunately it appears to be something is not quite cooperating on your computer.

I'm not super familiar with the shell used for the program but I do believe it has dependencies on Adobe Flash and your default browser. So I would make sure your Flash is up to date and working correctly and what is your default browser and version?

I've tried with Google chrome last update and internet explorer 8 last update, downloaded today for JGVM, don't work.
Adobe flash updated today too, same problem....

I've tried with Opera, same...

I've Pywh, not the problem...

BUT...

I came back on my computer and the magic, a video popped!

I don't know why but now I can focus on Chris ^^

Thank you for help.

Great you at least got it up and running. I suspect still what I said was basically true. Just with Flash dependencies alone a variety of issues can come into play because while internet explorer depends on an activex version of Flash, Chrome, FireFox and others depend on a Mozilla version of Flash resulting in literally two totally different programs. THEN take it to the level there have been individual 32-bit and 64-bit versions of each? Multiple ways things can go wrong. Wink

Glad you got it working. This issue is coming up among one or two users. So for anyone else experiencing difficulties...

In development of this program, the only time I saw issues with buffering and video/audio sync issues was with older operating systems, but more importantly with poor internet connection. The video is streamed from Vimeo.com so it should be superfast (like youtube). There is a way for you to test this.

Go to http://www.playjazzguitar.com/JGVM/video_test.html

If the video is fine and there is no stuttering etc, the issue is not your connection.

There also could be something on your computer blocking the video.

Finally, the video, because it is being 'called' from a server might take a few seconds to load.

Chris
