Today I acquired an X-155. It was unused for over a decade and needed a setup, strings, a couple of minor repairs and a REAL good cleaning.

I gotta say, I'm impressed. The lower bout is 17". Its acoustic sound is very nice, electrified it's very smooth. I'm shocked that there aren't more big players using them.

Anyone here have one?

Got it cuz I needed an archtop kind of quick and didn't have one. I've had a bit of a love/hate relationship with it.

You know, my experience with the guitar is so unique to certain conditions and preferences with myself that I don't think I'd really be able to give you a helpful response.

I'll just say that if I was taller and didn't have a nerve impingement, and was really into archtop tone, and strung the guitar with 13s or higher and reasonable action then I'd have a less bias opinion of the thing.

I gig with it and it gets me through...it's a big guitar for me. lately I've been more drawn to the solid body sound for the stuff I've been doing.
