I Just traded my PRS hollowbody MCarthy (spruce) model in and bought a Les Paul Studio. Actually it was a swap. Of course I lost money on the deal But the PRS has definate tunning issues for strings above 11's. The prs rep informed us of this a while after purchase. I also have an Epiphone Emporer Regent that holds tune great and I love it more than the prs.
What are your thoughts.

I think any guitar that doesn't intonate with strings >11 is not fit for purpose, I would be trying to get money back I reckon!

Any time You change guages , You need a new setup. Iv'e had absolute nightmares with the same situation. I have a setup guy who is a miracle worker. He makes heavy strings play like butter. I have 13's at eflat on my tele and 13's to pitch on the 3/4 jazz guitar. A PRS should handle anything, The factory is close to You. Talk to Paul Reed Smith himself, unless he sold out or something.

My thoughts are that you are trapped in the closet, my friend.

No, that's Graham Norton, and he's certainly not in the closet.
