Hey guys,,,

Does anyone have any helpful tips on the left hand/wrist position???

As I have been practicing more and more I'm finding that im developing some pain in the wrist,,,particularly the most outside tendon...
so please share anything you might have learned or heard about this---
Thanks a bunch

Allways stop and take a break when you feel pain.
Maybe it's your guitar neck that is not fit for your type of playing.
You can get necks in all shapes, but you probably know that.
Sometimes it's also a good idea to warm up, instead of just graping your guitar and play the fastest Pat Matino solo. Not that I can do that. I wish. |

There is a book called Pumping Nylon (no kidding) which is for classical guitarists but most things in it could be used selectively by a jazz guitarist. I found it most helpful in addressing the physical part of guitar playing.
I try not to grape my guitar (sorry I am last person to remark on typos but it made me grin ) |

always keep your wrist as straight as possible!
Warm up all the time!
Don't play through pain! |
