I'm an American living in South Africa since January 2005. I'll be returning to the DC area in November.

Before that I was in Guangzhou, China (2002-2004) which has a jazz scene second only to Shanghai's and much better than Hong Kong or Macaus (hey everything is relative). Blue Note, Verve, and Nonesuch (Warner) really need to get their artists out there. We could build an audience that rivals Japan's and foster a whole source of financial support for the music. Missed opportunities are the history of Jazz!

didnt kno it was mostly mericans round here

Rotterdam, Holland suddenly seems like a million miles away

never been to the states, maybe someday i will... even if its only to fly to NY, take a cap, drive around all day, to take the flight back home again Very Happy

Mostly but by far not entirely US. I would have to say the same thing in return, I'd love to see Holland some day. I'm only a drive away from NY and I avoid it like a bad haircut! Mr. Green

Ahhhh, I know it well, from above at least. I've flown many hours over your head. Laughing Between the South and Cacoctin (sp?) is the practice area for Frederick Airport (KFDK) where I learned to fly. Thumbs Up!
