Hello. i was just wondering if anyone knows where i can find decent backing tracks to download (audio, mp3 or MIDI format) preferably for free.

If you sample my backing tracks, I can send you the ones you want in midi format.

Let me know,

Lawrie

Is it possible to hear the tracks at putfile on a Mac? i've tried 3 different browsers with no luck.

I've heard some of the the visionmusic ones. They're ok but most of the free jazz bt's are around 200bpm...and i cant improvise 8th notes at 200bpm..yet Wink

Thanks for the help though. Can anyone recommend any commercial backing tracks, bebop, not too fast, major and minor keys and with a really good authentic swing band? Surely there must be some really high quality jazz backing tracks out there.

Aebersolds are the best I know of, but aren't free.

I've been having a look at Aebersolds Vol 24 http://aebersold.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=V24DS&Category_Code=AEBALL
Unfortunately the link to the MP3 track demos doesn't seem to be working. Thanks for the tip though JakeJew.

And cheers Lawrie Very Happy
